Marking the height of a child on the wall is a good way to show growth. A child can’t see themselves grow, neither can we as adults.
It’s the same with spiritual growth. Setting goals is important and helps us grow. But sometimes we are distracted by focusing on the future to much, (or remembering the past.)
Being in the “present” is where we meet with our Lord and Savior Jesus.
If we only look forward to our daily meals that we are going to eat, but never sit down and eat them, we never get filled with the nutrients we need.
Knowing we need to read our bible and pray daily but never actually doing it, we miss out on the blessing of getting to know Jesus. – Be willing to eat the bread of life.
Psalm 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.
John 6:35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.
